This vibrant townhouse enveloped within the historic heart of Boston Massachusetts, has undergone a remarkable transformation that beckons admirers of luxury design. Two apartments have been seamlessly blended into one harmonious living space by the Scott Sanders design team. This Boston vibrant townhouse luxury design project has undertaken the challenge of combining individual elements into a cohesive whole, resulting in a townhouse that stands as a testament to creativity and vision.
Step inside, and you are immediately greeted by a symphony of colour dancing across the walls, furniture and decor. Each piece and colour has been carefully chosen to evoke a sense of energy and warmth, turning this luxury Boston townhouse into a space where each room tells its own story. From rich, deep blues that create a sense of tranquillity to vibrant reds that inject passion, this colour palette is classic of Scott Sanders, creating an inviting space for living. Beyond the vibrancy of colour lies an exploration of textures that elevate the feel of the home. Plush carpets, lacquered walls and rich timbers create layers of interest that not only look luxurious but feel undeniably so. Each touch contributes to the overall comfort of this luxury vibrant townhouse design.
The Palisades sideboard was designed in collaboration with our talented interior designer friend, Anna Standish. The cabinet is a turn towards 1970s American arts and is celebration of innovative materials, distinct shapes, and explosive colours.

A Vibrant Townhouse Full Of Colour
The combination of two apartments has allowed for multiple unique living and seating spaces throughout the duplex. The continued use of vibrant, warm colours and decorative patterns creates a dynamic and inviting atmosphere. Here the art isn’t confined to the walls but continues to the fabric of the space. The dining room, visible through elegant glass doors from the kitchen, serves as a showcase of exquisite design. Anchored by a fabulous David Hockney painting, a bespoke Stark Carpet rug and Missoni fabric adorning the dining chairs, it is a space where art seamlessly blends with everyday living.
The primary bedroom is a sanctuary of opulence and tranquillity. A DAVIDSON cabinet, The Palisades Sideboard takes centre stage, a perfect blend of luxury and serenity with its soft blue Birdseye maple wood and polished nickel trim. Bedside tables, finished in dark wood and leather, add warmth and depth to the space. Antique lamps from Balsamo Antiques illuminate the room with a soft, nostalgic glow, creating a haven for relaxation.

About Scott Sanders
Scott Sanders is the owner and principal designer of Scott Sanders LLC, a full- service design firm specializing in bespoke interiors with offices in Palm Beach, New York City, and East Hampton. Sanders has completed memorable projects for a broad array of clients in New York City, The Hamptons, Boston, Nantucket, Palm Beach, Aspen, California, Paris, and beyond. In addition to his residential work, Sanders has designed three iconic hotels and participated in the prestigious Kips Bay Decorator Show House in New York and the 2023 Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach. His work is celebrated for his mastery of the modern mix, attention to detail, and the creation of versatile, inviting spaces for living, working, entertaining, and family life.
After graduating from Parsons School of Design, Sanders worked as a lead interior designer at Ralph Lauren, founding his own firm in 2000.
