The Brummell Penthouse, has been masterfully designed by Oliver Burns. It is situated in the heart of London’s luxury quarter on prestigious Jermyn Street in St. James’s. The crowning jewel of this spectacular development, the penthouse takes pride of place atop of seven beautifully finished and designed apartments to form Beau House.
Oliver Burns were entrusted with designing both the entrance to the building and the vast three floors of the 4,000 sq. ft penthouse. In doing so, they set out to create an extraordinary home. Woven with exquisite details and underpinned by their ethos of ‘Thoughtful Luxury’.
The penthouse pays homage to the 18th century menswear icon and local resident, Beau Brummell, not only in name but in style. With quintessentially British design throughout. The design story subtly references the history of the area as a tailoring district. A legacy which lives on to the present day. Understated stripe wall coverings and vertically laid marble reflect the fabric of a gentleman’s striped suit. Whilst a floor-to-ceiling headboard in one of the guest suites with exposed stitching pays homage to the intricate work of a seamstress.
Likewise, the colour palette was thoughtfully selected to make a subtle nod to Brummell’s discerning taste and enduring style. Rich tones of bronze and navy have been interlaced with subtle metallic detailing to highlight stunning architectural features such as ceiling coffers and architrave. This was then layered with a spectrum of neutral tones to reflect Brummell’s own penchant for understated hues.
Upon entering the penthouse, the first sight which greets you is a striking quartet of original Picasso lithographs that adorn the walls. This gracefully leads the way to the heart of the home. An opulent open plan living space with its seamless integration of an elegant dining area and bespoke, well-appointed kitchen. A custom-made chandelier glittering with Swarovski crystals is showcased against a gilded coffer dressed in bronze copper leaf. Forming a statement feature in the room. A bespoke collection of handcrafted dining chairs by Aiveen Daly inspired by the rich plumage of a peacock adds rich colour and texture.
A key piece within the dining area is Davidson’s Grace Dining Table crafted from high-gloss sycamore along with bespoke handcrafted dining chairs by Aiveen Daly
A state-of-the-art kitchen by Boffi with appliances by Gaggenau and Quooker presents the very finest in contemporary kitchen design. Quartzite Calacatta worktops, splash-back and a matching island are beautifully paired with teal velvet bar stools and a trio of Tom Dixon pendants for a space that exudes modern luxury.

The Master Suite features an Oliver Burns bespoke designed and handcrafted bed which is magnificently framed by a geometric fretwork wall. An adjacent dressing room has been designed to seamlessly weave elements of the master suite. Creating a space that flows effortlessly. Sumptuous hand-tufted carpet and lacquered wood finishes form a continuation of the bedroom. Whilst leather-lined display shelves and bronze inlay illustrate exceptional attention to detail.
This opulence extends to the Master Ensuite where a trio of exquisite marbles was discerningly sourced by their senior designer team from specialist quarries, celebrating the beauty of this natural material. Polished Aqua Bianca marble has been thoughtfully placed alongside an Arabescato marble feature wall, expertly book-matched to form a diamond. A Blue de Savoie countertop completes this vision of luxury.
A white Namibia marble staircase and sculptural wall leads the way to a magnificent retractable roof terrace. This is perfect for al fresco entertaining. This sumptuous space was designed as an extension of the interiors, providing comfort beyond the ordinary. Luxurious George Smith sofas and chairs, an outdoor TV and entertainment system and a fire pit create the perfect space to enjoy the stunning near 360-degree panorama of London’s skyline.
Brummell Penthouse truly presents a unique opportunity to experience the finest living London has to offer. In one of the capital’s most exclusive and historic enclaves.
