DAVIDSON London invites you to explore Nash House, a six-bedroom Grade II listed building on the edge of Regent’s Park.
Built around 200 years ago, the property is a five-storey Georgian Townhouse. John Nash, a renowned architect designed the building, along with many other famous terraces and Neoclassical buildings across London. Some of his designs include Buckingham Palace, Marble Arch and Regent Street.
Preserved in this family home are all of the original period features including detailed egg and dart and botanical cornices as well as the oversized sash windows. The interior style is an elegant juxtaposition between traditional design and contemporary living.
Likewise, the kitchen has been adapted to facilitate modern-day family life whilst maintaining the intended charm and character, with its tall ceilings and large windows.
Alexandra Davidson, Managing Director
Upstairs off of the first-floor landing, the formal drawing room has an elegance and grandeur that only a period property of this time could exhibit. The term drawing room originates from the 16th century when the owner of the house, his wife, or a distinguished guest could ‘withdraw’ for more privacy. Today the drawing room is used to entertain friends. Indeed, the antique bar cart makes the perfect place to stir up a cocktail or two after a dinner party in the dining room downstairs. Previously, the original fireplace had been removed. So the marble surround, designed by Sixty3 London, is purely aesthetic and creates a beautiful focal point in the centre of the room.
The first-floor landing features an adapted Hester Occasional Table with a glass top.
