A beautiful desk of classic inspiration, it is hard to imagine a more elegant place to work than at the Carlisle. The epitome of understated chic, this writing table exemplifies DAVIDSON’s ability to take a traditional design and elevate it to something timeless.
Created by master craftsmen in the UK, the Carlisle represents the very best of luxury furniture. With its leather writing surface, convenient cable management system, and thoughtfully-crafted drawers, it not only fulfils but exceeds the requirements of form, function and technical finesse.
If you are looking for a desk that offers both class and comfort, opt for the Carlisle, whose stately profile would suit a range of interiors. Invest in the ultimate workstation and bring a new prestige and distinction to your study.
With its body in an impressively-sleek sycamore black, the Carlisle’s dusky hues make it a versatile piece that would flatter a variety of room schemes. Its sombre tones call for bold pops of colour, such as a statement chair, or perhaps a metallic standing lamp.
Special lacquering techniques have been used to achieve a brilliant, high-gloss finish, whose gleam is echoed by the luxe nickel detailing. The overall effect is one of a fabulous, but not at all showy, high-quality shine.
The interior of the drawers is hand-tinted to match the exterior of the desk for a seamless aesthetic experience.
With DAVIDSON’s commitment to offering custom designs, the Carlisle is also available in the finish of your choice.
The silhouette of the Carlisle conveys something quintessentially British. Compared to the others in the collection, the desk is more traditional in mood. Its ogee moulding to the underside of the tabletop and cavetto moulding to the plinth are both hallmarks of classic luxury furniture.
With its respect for and nod to tradition, the Carlisle is a desk that celebrates impeccable quality and class.
The desk was designed with smart, rectangular drop handles in polished nickel. Alongside the luxurious glint of the polished nickel lacing, the handles offer an exquisite contrast in colour and texture with the monochrome sycamore.
The handles are also available as circular, and finished in brass, antiqued brass, or bronze. Opt for brass or bronze for a sultry opulence.
The desk features a small leather writing surface, which is both aesthetically and practically pleasing, smart and functional, providing added protection. It can, of course, be made with a full leather writing surface if required, or, alternatively, without.
There are two cable access points in the left and right corners for a neat and tidy working space, finished in the matching primary finish. The cabling works by running down through the back of the pedestal, behind the drawers, to a floor-mounted power socket, or out through a small worm hole at the back of the desk. Such a system is perfect for keeping a clean-lined, clutter-free environment.
